Sensors in smartphones

• The world is full of technology..Smartphones,Smart watches,and various other Gadgets and appliances
• But how many of us know about this technology.for instance,How many sensors are in our phone?How are smartphones made?,somethings about phone's battery?etc.etc
• Ask yourself,how much you know about the questions i asked,don't have the answer,right? but don't worry we are here to help you guide in the latest technology
• Today i will talk about the types of Sensors used in the latest Smartphones.

What are sensors? How many Sensors are there in a Smartphone,and their uses in the smartphones are the Topic of discussion now...

• First of all the answer of the question about What are sensors,A sensor in the Smartphone get's activated with the surrounding environment made by us,specifically,and pass this information to the CPU of the mobile system.
•  sensors such as,

1. Proximity sensor

• It is a 'important feature in touchscreen smartphones.It can sense how far is our smartphone from our ears,or face.
• The display light in our smartphone automatically turns off when we are on a call or our phone is near the sensor during a call,and this feature saves a lot of battery life.
• The proximity sensor location on Samsung galaxy S III phone,

2.Accelerometer

• It is a prime Feature in new smartphones,it is responsible for portrait and landscape movement of the phone.
• The orientation of the phone is detected by the accelerometer,When you rotate the phone in landscape mode the display or the screen also rotates,this is due to accelerometer sensor.
  

3.Gyroscope

• Gyroscope is particularly famous due to its use in the gaming business
• Due to gyroscope,all the 3 axis(X,Y&Z)are tracked by rotation/pitch ratio. 
• 

4.Ambient Light Sensor

• Automatic Screen brightness Adjustment on  latest smartphones is due to the Ambient Light sensor.
• Battery life is improved by this useful smart feature of smartphone's.
  

5.Barometer

• Barometer in smartphones determine how high you are in the maps application
• This is particularly useful for the Mountain climber's.
• Normal maps application in a smartphone is 2D but because of barometer sensor the 3D positioning of an individual is known.
  

The future for the sensor is seems to be more Vibrant,don't get surprised if in future sensors control our heart,brain or our whole body...

• Concept Phones are always attractive and very very appealing.
• But are this  kind of phones actually practical?or are this kind of phones really made?
• well,there are no answers for such questions perhaps, company is the one who decides which phones are to be released and which phones are practically possible to make
• But! there are some interesting future phones for us that are possible to be made and believe me this phones are really cool!!
• I will show you some of the companies concept phones that are humored to be manufactured

1. Lg Flutter Concept Phone

• Wow!  Now this is a real beauty,i am sure you guys agree with me.This is the phone that won Props master choice award for great design
• This phone Splits and reveals a display like,most probably inspired from rainbow,right?

2.Sony Xperia Concept Phones

• Sony has won million hearts with the xperia designs and the Quality of products that the company make
• If you are a Camera Lover Just like me and also think that camera has a great usability in a Smartphone than this concept phone is Great From Looks and Camera
• The phone is Extremely  Thin and has a great Camera functionality and Usability.

 

3. Blackberry Empathy Concept Phone

• This is a smartphone with of uniqueness of Human emotion Integration
• The phone comes with a ring a this ring is responsible for the interactions with human emotions
• Blackberry Empathy is one of my favourite Conceptual phone because of its Awesome Design.

• Blackberry is said be a Boy's or Men's phone,but don't you worry ladies, The Motorola Piccolo Concept Phone is just Perfect for Female Population.
• The sleek and curvy design of the phone is really a eye catchy factor for any individual.

Samsung's YOUM technology

What is Youm technology?

• In January 2013 Samsung launched flexible OLED displays which they call Youm..
• The screen is bendable,can be curved,twisted,thinner and lighter than other screens.

How Youm technology will be helpful?-

•  showoff among friends and some other showoff's as the video suggests have a look :)

•  The main problem with the screen or displays are that they break or get scratched...but with Youm technology there is no scratching or breaking
• The screen can be literally twisted like a rubber as you might have seen in the video linked about
• Moreover,the company suggests that the screen will be waterproof .
  

Release of Youm technology?

• Samsung company has yet not announced the actual date of Youm tech but it is expected that the devices produced from Youm technology will be available in 2013
• However the first devices manufactured from Youm technology are supposed to be Mobile phones.
• Will be shipping in late 2013 but not at normal consumer level.

Sony smart watch 2:-After the succession of Sony smart watch the company promised to work on the better smart watch,one step ahead,and they unveiled(not launched at Asia Expo in Shanghai) Sony smart watch 2.

1)features and specs:- most importantly the company is guarantying the watch to be waterproof and dust proof,it is very important aspect as people would like to be their smart watch to be cared less,this was not provided by older version of smart watch as it was only splash proof and not waterproof

a)The company is said to offer longer and better battery life than the older version of the Sony smart watch(which also gave a great battery performance of about 3-4 days normally( of course varies depending on usage).

b)Bigger touchscreen,yeah that's interesting a bigger,better and brighter touchscreen than the older version with 1.6 inch display and (220 x 176 pixels) resolution.

c)Smart watch comes with functions such as call handling,offline email reading,music  controller for smartphone,maps,and other third party apps like Facebook,twitter that can be downloaded from play store

d)The watch is stylish and a good accessory for the smartphones and wrist...and it unlike its previous version this watch can be used as standby wrist watch without smartphone connection which is a great relief

In the image above the red one is the rumored Nokia Lumia 1520 Phablet which is posted by the windows phone centraland.Only the front side of the phablet has been leaked.It is placed next to to Nokia Lumia 1020 for the comparsion.Accordind to the look of the tiles visible on the screen suggests that it will run on latest version of windows  i.e. windows phone platform 8.1.

Google Glass

Glass is the much talked about hands-free wearable computing device. It lets user to take photos and record videos.We can also make phone calls, send and receive messages on it.It can also be used to Google our queries,search on Internet and get directions using Google Map.

Google Glass is the next-must have gadget for me.It is the new way of quicky and effortlessly connecting people with information.

Google Glass works on  Android 4.0.4 and higher, has 640*360 display and 5-MP camera which is capable of recording 720p video.

It comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability.

Internal memory storage is of 16GB and 12GB is made available to the user.
